Robin

Apparently its Robin's birthday tomorrow (6th February) so lets celebrate! And why not talk about her, as well.

Ahh, I love this character. Without a doubt the most tragic of the strawhats, yet she continued to live on. Her personality is also unique, especially when compared to typical anime women. And her powers - who can forget how creeped out you got when we first saw her flower flower fruit powers? To me Robin widened my knowledge of devil fruits - hers was one of the first to be genuinely creepy, a true devil power. And yet the more and more we got to know her, the more familiar it has become, and now we barely bat an eye at it. Definely one of the most creative and fun powers in this universe.

As for her time-skip design and changes... at first it was by far my least favorite (I still miss her bangs) but believe it or not but I've actually started to like it. Thing is, when I re-read some older chapters, I think I realized what Oda was going for. The new Robin is happy, before she didn't really fit in with the crew and there was always some form of barrier around her - now she allows herself to relax and have fun. And considering what she has been through, I just can't bring myself to dislike her time-skip self because of this. Really, its more the lack of proper fights and increase of fan-service thats making me angry - not Robin herself.
